Course Pros & Elite Amateurs Tour Pros

ImageGeoff Mangum offers a selection of programs for 1-on-1 putting instruction for course pros and elite amateurs. These programs range from 2-hour introductory sessions to the full-blown coaching relationships available to top touring players. Packages of hourly sessions are also available.

The 1-on-1 sessions allow a more personalized and detailed level of instruction tailored to the capabilities and goals of the individual golfer. These sessions cover the basics, but are accompanied with diagnostic measurements of the golfer's baseline skills and crafted record-keeping to chart progress for before-after and peer-level comparisons and to chart progress towards benchmark goals.

Sessions are taught either in the Greensboro NC area or at a facility near the golfer with prior arrangement. Mangum regularly teaches at a number of North Carolina courses, including Tot Hill Farm GC (Asheboro), The Challenge (Burlington/Graham), Bryan Park GC (Greensboro), Salem Glen GC (Winston-Salem), Meadowlands GC (Wallburg/Winston-Salem), Rock Barn Golf and Spa (Hickory), Hampton Heights GC (Hickory), and elsewhere in the Pinehurst and Charlotte areas.

Mangum also works 1-on-1 with collegiate golfers and junior amateurs. These golfers are taught at half his normal rates.

ImageSince 2001, Geoff Mangum has been teaching playing pros. He has taught students on the PGA Tour, the Nationwide Tour, the LPGA, the Futures Tour, the Hooters Tour, the Developmental Players Tour, The Tarheel Tour, the Atlantic Coast Tour, the Tight Lies Tour, The European PGA Tour, and the EuroPro Tour.

For tour players, Mangum offers a veritable smorgasboard of programs, allowing sceptical pros to choose their level of involvement with easy-out provisions in case the relationship proves not to be a fit. These programs range from allowing the pro to learn about Mangum's teaching without risking a lot, up to the full-blown coaching "play-for-pay partnerships." His rates are scaled so that developmental players can afford the best instruction.

In a play-for-pay partnership, Mangum guarantees that his putting instruction will not only significantly improve the golfer's putting performance per se, but will also result in greater on-course winnings. To back up this guarantee, Mangum is not paid his fee unless the golfer's baseline stats for putting and earnings both go above baseline; he is paid only so long as this remains the case; and he is paid a percentage only from the new earnings above baseline as they are received. For more information, please inquire.

Other pro teaching packages include
    • one-day and two-day sessions,
    • tournament week tuneups,
    • off-season week-long sessions,
    • remote digital video coaching,
    • and by other arrangement.
All students have 24/7 support access to Mangum via phone or online.
All teaching relationships come with confidentiality and easy-out provisions.
